A Miami healthy-dessert bakery: 13× traffic and 16 keywords in the top 3 in 10 months
We grew a young healthy-dessert bakery into Google's Miami top: search traffic rose about 13×, and the niche's priority queries reached the top three.
The starting point
A young Miami bakery of healthy desserts: sugar-free, vegan, gluten-free cakes and treats, also suitable for people with diabetes. A specific, local niche — customers search for options "near me" in a particular city, and the decision to order a cake is made quickly and emotionally.
The site was built on the Wix builder, the domain was young with almost no history. The bakery was practically invisible in Google for buying queries, and only two external sites linked to it — trust and local visibility had to be built almost from scratch.
What had to be done
The client's main goal — to raise organic visibility and lift priority commercial queries into Google's top 3 across the niche's core directions. Hence three tracks of work:
- →Lift buying queries (sugar-free, vegan, diabetic-friendly cakes) into Google's top three and top ten across Miami.
- →Grow traffic from search — local visitors ready to order.
- →Grow links to the site and get its technical side in order for steady growth.
What we did on the project
We worked systematically across four tracks: analytics, content and catalog structure, links, and technical improvements.
We checked the site for technical issues of the Wix builder, studied the niche and local Miami competitors, set up analytics and reported every month. Every decision was based on numbers, not guesswork.
We collected the queries local customers use to search for healthy desserts on Google and built and filled the catalog sections around them — sugar-free, vegan, gluten-free and diabetic-friendly cakes. We wrote texts for categories, products and the blog, added image descriptions and handy links between pages.
We placed mentions and links to the site on external platforms — articles, directories and topical discussions. To Google that's a signal the site can be trusted. The number of linking sites grew from 2 to 49, including high-trust resources.
We ran a technical audit of the Wix-built site, fixed errors and improved structure and speed — so nothing held back growth in search.
